Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how rend (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information through the rend mobile application (“App”) and the rend website (“Website”).
rend is designed to be a local-first workout log. The current version does not require an account, synchronize workout records to a rend-operated cloud service, or use workout data for advertising.
1. Information stored on your device
The App allows you to create and maintain workout information, including:
- Workout and exercise names.
- Sets, weights, repetitions, and time-based exercise entries.
- Workout sessions and dates.
- Previous performance and workout history.
- Active and archived workout and exercise records.
- Application preferences, including appearance and onboarding settings.
This information is stored locally on your device in the App’s database and associated local storage.
The App uses this information to display your workouts, save changes, retrieve previous sessions, and provide its workout logging and history features.
In the current version, rend does not operate a user-account or cloud synchronization service that receives and stores your workout records.
2. Information we receive
The current App is not designed to transmit your workout records to us. It does not include advertising networks, behavioral analytics, or account registration.
We may receive information when you voluntarily contact us, including your email address, the contents of your message, and any files or screenshots you choose to provide.
We use support correspondence to respond to questions, investigate reported issues, and maintain the App. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell personal information.
Your operating system, app marketplace, email provider, and other independently operated services may process information under their own privacy policies.
3. Workout Cards and photo permissions
rend includes a feature for creating Workout Cards from your workout information.
When you choose to save a Workout Card to your photo library, the App may request permission to add the image to your device’s Photos library.
The permission is requested in connection with that action. The App does not require general access to your photo library for normal workout logging.
Once saved, a Workout Card is managed by your device’s photo library and any photo backup or synchronization services you have enabled.
If you independently share a saved image, the recipient or destination service may process that image according to its own policies.
4. How your information is used
Information stored within the App is processed locally to:
- Create, edit, and organize workouts and exercises.
- Record sets and workout sessions.
- Display previous performance and workout history.
- Manage archived records.
- Generate Workout Cards.
- Maintain your selected application preferences.
Information you voluntarily send to us is used for support and related communications.
We do not sell workout records or use them for targeted advertising.
5. Data storage, retention, and deletion
Workout records and application preferences are stored on your device.
You can edit, archive, restore, and delete supported records using the controls provided by the App.
Archiving preserves information for later access or restoration. Deleting a record removes it from the App’s active local data according to the applicable deletion operation.
Deleted information may remain in device backups or other copies maintained outside the App. Deleting information in rend does not automatically delete previously saved Workout Cards or copies you have shared elsewhere.
Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage may remove locally stored workout information. The exact behavior depends on your operating system, device settings, and backup configuration.
The current version does not offer rend-operated cloud backup, account synchronization, or remote workout-history recovery.
Because we do not maintain a server-side copy of your workout records, we generally cannot retrieve or restore them if they are lost from your device.
6. Device backups
Your device’s operating system or backup services may include some App data in device-level backups, depending on the platform and your settings.
Such backups are managed by the relevant device or service provider, not by rend.
We do not guarantee that a device backup will include every workout record or that a particular backup can be successfully restored.
7. Website information
The rend website is intended to be a static informational website.
We do not intend to use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or other tracking technologies to monitor visitors. The website will not require user accounts or collect workout information.
Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and request timestamps, as necessary to deliver the website, maintain security, and operate its infrastructure.
This information is handled according to the hosting provider’s applicable privacy practices.
We do not intend to use website visitor information for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on operating-system functionality and software components necessary to run on supported devices.
Third-party platform providers, including Apple and Google, may independently process information relating to app downloads, purchases, device diagnostics, crash reports, or other platform services, depending on their policies and your settings.
We do not control information those providers collect independently through their own services.
If rend introduces additional third-party services that collect information through the App, this Policy will be updated as appropriate.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the information we handle and support the integrity of locally stored workout records.
The App includes safeguards intended to reduce accidental data loss and invalid data entry.
However, no application, device, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or free from errors.
The protection of locally stored information also depends on your device’s security settings, operating system, and backup practices.
10. Your privacy choices
You can manage workout information through the App’s available editing, archiving, restoration, and deletion controls.
You can manage device permissions through your operating system settings.
You can also uninstall the App or clear its local storage using your device’s controls, subject to the consequences for stored data.
Because workout records are not stored in rend-operated user accounts, we generally cannot access or modify those records remotely.
If you have contacted us for support, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information contained in those communications, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.

11. Children’s privacy
rend is a general-audience workout logging application and is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through the App or Website.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 through a support or other communication channel without the necessary authorization, we will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.
12. International users
rend may be accessible outside the United States.
Workout information stored locally remains subject to the storage and device services you use.
If you contact us or interact with the Website, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Where applicable, we will handle such information in accordance with relevant privacy laws.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, Website, our information practices, or applicable legal requirements.
The updated version will include a revised effective date and will be made available through the App or Website.
We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
